The CENATRA is the agency of the Ministry of Health responsible for the
stewardship of the National Transplant System.
Has as its primary mission to organize and encourage the donation and transplant programs in
health institutions.
Its functions include the issuance of policies and monitoring the distribution and allocation
of organs and tissues donated by the people. The CENATRA is also responsible for disseminating and
promoting knowledge in the field of donation and transplantation among the population.
